Battery Grease Gun Adaptation

Follow this video guide to adapt your battery grease gun for use with the KAJO 500g screw thread grease cartridges. OxRock have adapters for Milwaukee, Macnaught, Metabo, AEG, DeWalt and Makita guns.

Step by Step

1. You will need: a battery grease gun, a compatible adapter and a 24mm socket.

2. Simply remove the metal cartridge and ensure the black seal on the inside of the gun is clean (You can use a degreaser or brake cleaner to remove any old grease residue & dirt).

3. Insert the required adapter made specifically for your gun model using a 24mm socket.

4. Torque to 25Nm, try not to over tighten, the adapter is now a permanent fixture within the gun unless you decide to remove it.

5. Take the KAJO 500g screw thread grease cartridge of your choice and before removing the cap, push the plunger at the bottom to release any trapped air.

6. Now remove the cap and push the plunger again until roughly 5-10ml of grease exits the tube.

7. Insert cartridge into the adapted gun and screw until you feel resistance (Don't over tighten).

8. Push the plunger again to allow grease to enter the grease chamber manually.

9. Continue to push the plunger while simultaneously pressing the bleeder button on your gun to release any air that's inside the chamber.

10. Repeat the last step until a steady flow of grease exits the chamber.

11. Happy greasing!

PISTOL GRIP GREASE GUN

The Pressol pistol grip one-handed grease gun uses the 500g screw thread cartridges. The pistol grip is sturdy and has less moving parts with no bleeding required making it very efficient to use. Follow the guidance below before using your pistol grip grease gun.

  • Step 1

Use new grease cartridge for priming. With the cap on, push up plunger until resistance is felt.

  • Step 2

    Remove the cap.

  • Step 3

Push the plunger until 5-10ml of grease exits the cartridge.

  • Step 4

Unscrew adapter half way (2-3 threads), but do not remove.

  • Step 5

While holding the adapter in this position, insert the cartridge with 5-10ml of grease exiting it and screw it in.

  • Step 6

Push the plunger with hand to fill internal adapter surface with grease. (Plunger should move up 10-15ml)

  • Step 7

Fully tighten the adapter to remove air.

  • Step 8

Prime by completing 5-6 full pumps, while also pushing plunger. Gun is now ready for use. (Repeat steps 2-4 when changing cartridges.

Two Handed Grease Gun

The Pressol two handed grease gun uses the 500g screw thread cartridges. This gun gives you a little more control than the pistol grip but is still compact and requires no bleeding making it easy to use. Follow the guidance below before using your two handed grease gun.

  • Step 1

Before removing cap push the plunger on the cartridge until you feel resistance. Remove the cap and push again until 5-10 ml of grease exits the cartridge.

  • Step 2

Insert cartridge (with 5-10ml of grease still pushed up) and screw in. Push on plunger again to ensure any air has escaped.

  • Step 3

Prime by completing 5-6 full pumps, until a steady flow of grease exits the hose. Gun is now ready to use.
